Hi all,
THIS IS IT! After almost 10 years in the US, we are moving back to Denmark
on Nov. 28th. We miss Europe (its lifestyle, the food, the historic
places...) and our families, and we would like to give them and our 2 girls
(Victoria, 2.5 years, and Caroline, 1 year in Dec.), a chance to enjoy each
other.
Kenneth and I came separately, in Jan. 1997 and Jan. 1998, respectively. We
got married in San Jose in April 1998 and I found a job in July. During our
free time, we have enjoyed sports activities such as golf, camping and
hiking, mountain-biking, volley-ball, rock-climbing, skiing in Tahoo, and
traveling. We managed to see most of California, from the southern desert to Mt Shasta, and parts of Wyoming, Montana, Alaska, Utah, Arizona, New York, Washington DC, Hawaii, and I forget some places. We have also met many wonderful people through our work, activities, and travels here in the US. These past 2.5 years, in particular, have been very exciting, with the birth of our two kids, and the purchase and sale of our first house. Now, we are slowly saying goodbye and getting ready for the big move.
Now, for our future plans:
Kenneth's last day at work will be Nov. 17th. Then, we will spend the week
of Thanksgiving packing and getting the last details ready. Our things will
be picked up by the movers on Nov. 27th and we are shipping out on Nov.
28th. During the first 5 weeks in DK, we will be staying at a furnished
summerhouse, waiting for our things to arrive. During that time, ie Dec., we will have very limited email access (only through Kenneth's family). We plan on buying cell phones & service after our arrival. Susanne's family is
coming to visit for 2 weeks, and we'll spend Christmas eve with our parents.
On Jan. 1st, we are moving into a townhouse north of Copenhagen, close to
our former residence 10 years ago! Our things should arrive shortly thereafter.
Voila! We are excited about our future but we will miss many of you - THANK
YOU for making our stay here so special!!!
