In April of 2000, Brad went to Rome on a business trip. When
business was concluded, Carolyn joined him for a vacation. They left
Rome and traveled to Ravello, a quiet, romantic, little mountain town that
looks down on the beautiful, blue Gulf of Salerno. In the travel
literature, this view has been called "the most beautiful view in the world."
Now, Carolyn and Brad had dreamed of getting married in Italy, but
had decided that it was just too complicated. However, one evening,
the owner of their little hotel, a sweet, Italian romantic, sparked a conversation
that included an American woman traveling alone The hotel owner and
the American woman encouraged Carolyn and Brad to pursue their dream of
getting married in Italy. In fact, the American woman turned her
vacation into a quest to help them get married during a busy Italian Holiday
weekend.
After a few days of hustle and bustle, it was April 20, 2000.
And, picture this ... a charming, rustic, romantic, little town ... a breath-taking
view of the Gulf from the mountains ... a white rose bouquet ... a smiling
British translator ... Brad and Carolyn in big Italian wooden ... an intimate
gathering ... and our happy travelers came as Mr. and Mrs. Bradley Colbert.
We hope that you can join us at L'Auberge Chez Francois on Saturday,
the 23rd of June to celebrate Brad's and Carolyn's wedding.
